Your child’s first school experiences should be filled with curiosity, connection, and joy. At Northside Catholic Academy, preschool introduces young learners to a welcoming Catholic school community where they can explore, build relationships, and grow in confidence.
NCA welcomes children beginning at age 3—and offers a connected school community where they can continue through eighth grade. Families of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome.
Big discoveries begin with little questions
Hands-on experiences help curiosity grow.
Young children learn by exploring the world around them. NCA’s approach emphasizes learning by doing, giving students opportunities to ask questions, create, collaborate, and make discoveries.
Art, music, and physical education enrich the learning experience, helping children express themselves and explore new interests. Our preschool follows a no-screens policy, keeping the focus on hands-on experiences and personal connection.
Thoughtful experiences support the whole child
Faith through wonder
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd introduces children to faith in a quiet, hands-on environment. Developmentally appropriate materials, Scripture, prayer, and reflection invite children to deepen their relationship with God at their own pace.
Movement that supports learning
NCA’s Motor Lab helps children develop coordination, balance, movement, and body awareness—skills that support participation and learning in the classroom.
A partnership with your family
Our teachers collaborate with families to understand individual strengths and needs and discuss resources that may help each child thrive.
Support for your family’s day
NCA’s Extended Care Program is available to preschool students on school days. Children enjoy activities such as creative play, stories, arts and crafts, and indoor and outdoor recreation.
Morning care begins at 6:30 am, and afternoon care continues until 6:00 pm. Families may choose monthly plans or hourly care.
