Supporting Catholic education for every family
Northside Catholic Academy proudly offers scholarship and financial aid opportunities to support families who demonstrate financial need.
At NCA, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow in a community that forms minds that think, hearts that love, and hands that serve. Through the generosity of our donors, alumni, and community partners, we are able to offer multiple need-based scholarships to help make an NCA education possible for your family.
We encourage families to explore these opportunities and reach out with any questions about the application process.

At Northside Catholic Academy, we value our socio-economic diversity and are committed to making our school accessible to all families who wish to be part of our community and want to give their children an excellent Catholic education. To assist in making that value a reality, NCA has several different need-based financial aid possibilities:
- Guardian Angel Scholarships Available to K-8 students based on financial need. Funded by NCA parents, alumni, and donors through our annual Soirée.
- Caritas Scholarship Available to K-8 students based on financial need and renewable each year with a new application. Funded through donors to the Archdiocese of Chicago Schools.
- Growth Scholarships Available to students entering grades 1–8 who are transferring from a public school. It is both need-based and renewable. Funded through the Archdiocese of Chicago.
- Mike Cannon Scholarship This endowed scholarship honors long-time NCA bus driver and alumna Mike Cannon. It is awarded annually to 1 or 2 students recommended by faculty for their hard work, compassion, and dedication to the school. Students must have demonstrated financial need. This scholarship was generously funded by the friends and family of Mike Cannon.
- Trubiano-Torsney Scholarship A new, one-time scholarship is awarded to a current NCA student whose family has had a significant change in circumstances that endanger the child's enrollment in NCA. This scholarship will cover the child's full tuition for the remainder of their years at NCA. This scholarship is funded by an anonymous NCA family. Please contact Principal Terese Black if interested in applying for this scholarship.
