Service hours & volunteer opportunities

Service hours are a way for NCA families to engage with our school’s mission to shape minds that think, hearts that love, and hands that serve. In giving our time, we model compassion, generosity, and active citizenship for our children, strengthening our school and building a more connected community.

Throughout the school year:

These volunteers help build community within each classroom at NCA. Acting as a liaison between teachers and caregivers, they coordinate classroom celebrations, organize volunteers for events, and support fundraising efforts such as the Boosterthon and Soirée. They keep families informed through monthly emails and foster connection by organizing parent socials and classroom gift collections. Contact ncapo@ncaschools.com to learn more.

We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic parents who love NCA and want to help grow our community. Help share the spirit of NCA with prospective families by offering a warm welcome and a parent’s perspective. Ambassadors may connect with new or interested families via phone, email, or school tours, and represent NCA at open houses or enrollment events. By sharing your family’s experience and answering questions, you help future Wildcats feel confident and excited about joining our school. Energetic booster volunteers bring school spirit to life by supporting NCA’s sports programs. Whether you're coaching a Bitty sport or an NCA team (starting in 4th grade), or helping plan fun events like Toss for Tots (aka Cornhole Classic), the Flip Cup tournament, or the annual golf outing—there’s a place for you on the team! If you love sports, teamwork, and cheering on our Wildcats, this is a great way to get involved and make a lasting impact.

Opportunities come up within each child’s classroom to attend various outings. Look for information from your teachers and room parents.

Library volunteers support our Kindergarten through 5th grade classes by helping students check out and return books, reshelving titles, and keeping the library organized and welcoming. Volunteers may also assist during classroom library visits, helping younger students find books they’ll love and encouraging a joy of reading. This is a great opportunity for parents who enjoy being around children, love books, and want to spend a little time each week in the heart of our school. No library experience necessary—just a love of stories and helping kids grow!

Attend our monthly meetings (held on the first Wednesday of every month, alternating between AM and PM hours), join a planning committee for any of our planned events, including the Wildcat Street Fest, Halloween Dance, Trivia Night, Skate Day, Spring Dance, Field Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, Book Fairs, and Catholic Schools Week. Contact ncapo@ncaschools.com to learn more.

The Soirée is one of NCA’s biggest and most exciting fundraising events—and it takes a team to make it a success! Volunteers can get involved in many ways: by asking neighborhood businesses for donations, helping plan the main event (NCA 5th grade families are the lead planners), selling raffle tickets, or assisting with setup, check-in, and clean-up. Whether you have a talent for event planning, a knack for connecting with local businesses, or just enjoy being part of the action, there’s a role for you. Contact Patrick Lambert at plambert@ncaschools.com to learn more.

Families have offered their services to the school to earn volunteers hours (e.g. DJ skills, photography, graphic design, cooking or baking, musical talents, business connections, timeshares, hotel points, etc.); donated tickets or gift cards to be used as Soiree auction items; or provided classroom supplies and labor.

Do you have an idea for a donation for the Soiree? Contact Patrick Lambert at plambert@ncaschools.com.
