What makes us greater
Northside Catholic Academy (NCA) is a leading Catholic school on the North Side of Chicago and part of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Proud to be a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School, NCA serves families in Andersonville, Edgewater, Rogers Park, West Ridge, Uptown, and surrounding neighborhoods.
We welcome students from preschool (age 3) through 8th grade, offering a strong, well-rounded curriculum that prepares our graduates to thrive at the city’s top high schools. Guided by our mission—to educate minds that think, hearts that love, and hands that serve—we provide an environment where faith and academics grow together.
At NCA, students experience learning that is exciting and meaningful. They explore science through hands-on projects like building solar-powered models, bring history to life by creating a “Wax Museum” of important historical figures, express themselves at our annual Poetry Slam, and showcase creativity through 3D art installations.
Beyond academics, we focus on building lifelong values such as kindness, respect, curiosity, responsibility, leadership, compassion, and service. Our House System, with four houses named after inspiring figures, brings students of all ages together for monthly activities and mentorship, fostering a strong sense of community, connection, and belonging.
