NCA Green Team

In 2017, Northside Catholic Academy parents came together to create the NCA Green Team with the mission 

"To help NCA and its affiliated parishes take a leading role in our community in caring for our common home."

Activities

The NCA Green Team organizes events throughout the year including:

• Clean & Green days to pick up litter and beautify neighborhoods in the NCA Community
• Activities/contest to help students engage and learn about environmental issues
• Tutorials on how to save money with home efficiency
• Educating the community on recycling/composting best practices and resources
• Promote the use of clean energy
• Whatever project our volunteers come up with next!

Meetings

The NCA Green Team meets the first Saturday of every month from 3:00pm-4:00pm at Uncommon Ground at 1401 W. Devon. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join, even if they are not a member of the parishes or school. We use Laudato Si as a primary source of inspiration and guidance in how we can better care for our common home.
