Congratulations to our 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team who won the 2007 NCPL Championship!!!

In 2006 , NCA 7th and 8th grade coaches, players and parents received the Jim Kane Sportsmanship Award from the North Central Parish League! Votes were cast by all coaches, officials & NCPL coordinators who judge discipline, attitude and overall experience at home gyms.

Also in 2006, the NCA 5th Grade Boys Basketball team came in third place in the Big Ten Division!

These are great accomplishments that honor all NCA families who continue to work collectively to enrich our childrens lives. Thanks to the many athletic volunteers and supporters young and old!

NCA Athletics Committee

Girls Volleyball
Grades 7 - 8
This league is hosted by Queen of Angels, 4520 N. Western Ave. Chicago. Begins the second week of September and will end the first week of November. Queen of Angels is an exceptional league for 7th and 8th Grade girls. The league offers a ton of volleyball and is a great atmosphere filled with lots of competition.

Grades 5 - 6
This league is hosted by Northside Catholic Academy. Begins the third week of September and will end the first week of November. NCA is an instructional league for 5th and 6th girls. Since NCA hosts this league, all matches are played at the Primary Campus at Granville and Glenwood Avenues.
The kids love this league and will have lots of fun.

Boys Flag Football
Grades 6, 7, 8
This league is hosted by St. Francis Xavier Warde.The season will run through the end of October. Games begin at 10:00 a.m. and will run every 45 minutes. There will be four games per Saturday.

Grades 7 - 8
The North Catholic Parish League (NCPL) begins the first week of November and will end in February. Games are played at home and away. Practice generally begins the first week of October.

Grades 4, 5, 6
The Big Ten Conference begins the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. All games are played on Saturdays both home and away. Practice generally begins the first week of November.

Boys & Girls Biddy Basketball
Grades Kindergarten, 1, 2, 3
Northside Catholic Academy hosts this clinic mid-March through April. Sessions are held on Saturday mornings. Program offers skill building in passing, dribbling, shooting and lots more.
Clinic is fun-filled and exciting for all.

Girls' 12-Inch Softball (Slow Pitch)
Grades 6, 7, 8
This league begins early April and will end late May. All games are played at Rogers Park, 7345 N. Washtenaw Ave., Chicago. This league invites all levels to come out and play. Enjoy the fun, excitement and sunshine all at the same time.

The NCA Athletics Committee plans and implements a fun, comprehensive athletic program for NCA students. Parent volunteers meet monthly to coordinate schedules and recruit other volunteers to help support the sports we offer.

The Athletic Committee meets regularly with the Athletic Director on the first Monday of each month at 7pm in the Primary Campus lunch room. The meetings are open and anyone is welcome to attend. If the first Monday is a holiday, the meeting is moved to the second Monday at the same time and location.
