Admissions

Thank you for considering NCA for the education of your child! We know there are a lot of school choices and the process can feel overwhelming. At NCA, we are committed to being transparent and upfront about our process, our philosophy and our school. At NCA, you'll find a challenging, diversified curriculum that includes art, music, computer technology, physical education, and Spanish language. Our test scores consistently rank above the national average. Our students place into top Chicago high schools each year. Yet, what's even greater, is the sense of belonging you'll find when you join our community. Within this nurturing environment, your child and your entire family will thrive. We invite you to find something greater - discover NCA!

When is the application due?
Every new student must complete an application in order to be considered for admissions. Some programs fill up quickly and run waiting lists.  Therefore, we encourage new families to submit applications by Feb. 1st. Sibling applications are processed Jan. 15th. The first round of new student applications are processed Feb. 15th, and the second round are processed March 1st. We continue to accept applications after these dates.

Do you have financial aid? Yes, we offer the Guardian Angel Scholarship. You may pick up an application in the school office or request one to be mailed to you. The scholarship deadline is May1st.

What is the application fee? $25 per student

What is your admission process?
Download our application, admission and registration policy.

Why is there a $500 non-refundable new family registration fee?
The large registration fee for new families is meant to discourage those who are not committed to attending NCA from registering. We know that some families "hold spots" at multiple schools. Many of our programs run waiting lists. Holding a spot is unfair to those who are on the waiting list and makes the admission process inefficient. Please only register if you plan on attending NCA.

What if you are put on a waiting list?
The school will contact you immediately if you are put on waiting list and notify you as soon as a space becomes available.

Do you have before and after care or summer programs?
Yes, we offer Extended Care Program and Summer Camp.

Please check out our About Us and School Profile pages for answers to many questions.
